Gunson's Gastester MK2
In the UK it is part of the MOT to check for emissions. This has to be a good thing both for the environment and the running of your engine. If the emissions are way off then something is wrong with your setup.With this in mind I recently brought off eBay a Gunson's Gastester MKII.
This device measures the Carbon Monoxide CO levels at the exhaust. The basic principle is at close to the minimum CO levels is the optimum fuel/air mixture or stoichiometric ratio.

HI ANDY, QUITE AN INTERESTING READ ON YOUR PAGE, I LIKE YOU PURCHASED A GASTESTER ON EBAY, I USED TO HAVE A NEW ONE BUT WHILST ON HOLIDAY MY GATAGE WAS BURGLED AND IT WENT WITH MOST OF MY TOOLS ETC, ANYWAY I GOT THIS ONE ON EBAY BUT IT WAS MINUS THE USER MANUAL, SO I HAPPENED ON YOUR SITE OF WHICH I GOT CAUGHT UP IN BUT ALSO I TRIED TO DOWNLOAD YOUR COPY OF THE USER MANUAL AND I DONT KNOW WHY I JUST GOT 16 BLANK PAGESM MAYBE I AM NOT SET UP TO DOWNLOAD FROM YOU THOUGH I DOWNLOAD PDF FILES ALL THE TIME, MIGHT YOU KNOW WHY, REGARDS LLOYD
